Guardianship fees are paid for by the ward’s estate.  They include attorney and Guardian ad Litem fees, petition and court costs, and case management fees.

The court requires an annual report for the estate and person.

Guardianship can be costly, especially if it is contested and requires significant legal and court involvement.  It should be considered only after other methods have been explored to assist the disabled person.
